CMTMA Viewers Drop, Socials Rise

The CMT Music Awards premiere (10/21) drew 2.1 million viewers on the network and simulcast partners Logo, MTV, MTV2, Paramount, Pop and TV Land, down 22% from last year's 2.7 million. According to CMT, the show grew younger demos including +45% P12-24 (0.16 vs. 0.11), +89% P18-24 (0.17 vs. 0.09) and +5% M18-34 (0.21 vs. 0.20). Owned social site video views were +170% year-over-year (29.6M), and social engagements were +541% (1.7M). Voting increased 205% over 2019, as well.
